What began as an internet joke about “cockroaches” has become one of India's most extraordinary youth protest movements—bringing students from online spaces to Jantar Mantar, triggering a violent confrontation on July 20, challenging the credibility of traditional media, and forcing the government into negotiations.                But is India really witnessing a Gen Z revolution?
